2010 is the International Year of Biodiversity, and today is World Environment Day.
World Environment Day is celebrated and hosted by a different city every year. It is a day that was introduced to stimulate awareness and enhances political attention and public action.
This year?’ host city is Rwanda’s capital city Kigali and the theme is “Many Species. One Planet. One Future.”

The fight against climate change is again high on the European agenda this year.
