We would like to draw your attention to a series of events supported by European Commission Representation in the UK.
The project seeks to explore the impact the new coalition government is having on the UK’s relationship with EU institutions and other member states and how it is shaping the dynamics of the European debate within the main parties. The panel will examine the potential internal and external challenges and opportunities facing the coalition on European issues, while addressing any impact electoral defeat has made to the Labour Party’s long-term approach to the EU, given perceived problems over Lisbon ratification and EU migration. It will heavily involve current Members of the European Parliament for the events outside of London.
