The European Commission, in cooperation with the Greek EU Presidency, is hosting European Road Safety Day in Athens on 9 May 2014. The video was produced for this occasion and aimed at showing the main achievements of European Union in the area of road safety, as European roads are considered to be the safest in the world today and the number of road fatalities decreased tremendously over last 20 years.

An independent research agency, Creative Research, is conducting the research on behalf of the European Commission Representation in the UK. Creative Research works to the professional code of conduct of the Market Research Society. The research is being conducted on a confidential and anonymous basis; it is also entirely voluntary. Join Living Streets for National Walking Month in May
National Walking Month is dedicated to celebrating and raising awareness of the benefits of walking. Running from 1 May it incorporates Walk to Work Week (12-16 May) and Walk to School Week (19-23 May).
