Europe Direct North East (England) is holding a free cultural cooperation event in Durham City on the afternoon of Friday, 18th November.
The event is aimed at professionals working in the field of culture and art, and seeks to raise awareness about European Commission opportunities to enable them to work in partnership with like-minded individuals in other European countries. A wide range of speakers from across Europe have been confirmed, including Jonathan Scheele, Head of the European Commission Representation in the UK, and Christoph Jankowski from the EU’s cultural contact point in the UK.
The event is being arranged to coincide with the Lumiere light festival, which provides 4 evenings of dazzling light installations around the City on 17-20 November.
An event flyer and booking form are attached. Further information about Lumiere can be found at www.lumieredurham.co.uk.
Please feel free to forward this information to anyone working in the cultural or arts sector that you think might be interested in visiting Durham for this unique opportunity.
Places at the event are limited, and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The deadline for registering is 4th November.
