European SME Week, wants to know what the EU can do to encourage young entrepreneurs. People aged between 16 and 25 from Member States or partner countries of COSME (Europe’s programme for small and medium-sized enterprises) are invited to share their thoughts with policymakers and entrepreneurs on a European stage. To that end, the event’s organisers are holding the European SME Week Youth Essay Competition 2017.
To enter, contestants must write an essay in English, of maximum 2,500 words, addressing the question: “What skills do tomorrow’s entrepreneurs need?” The top three entries will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the SME Assembly in Tallinn, Estonia, in November 2017, where they will compete in a grand finale and present their essays to the Assembly audience. The final winner will be chosen via a public vote. The three finalists will be announced in October ahead of SME Week. The deadline for entries is 8 September 2017.
