The European Commission, has announced the European Week of Sport will run from 23-30 September 2017, it wants to encourage citizens to run, jump, skip and everything in between. This year’s Week of Sport kicks off in Tartu, Estonia’s second-largest city, with a wide range of activities including a cycling festival for children, events on healthy lifestyles and many other features. The official opening will include delegates from institutions and the world of sport and can be watched online across Europe via web stream.
Once again, the #BeActive challenge is an integral part of the week. It allows participants to show just how active they are by posting photos and videos on social media. Prizes will be awarded for the best posts. All participants have to do is
- Take a photo or video while they’re being active
- Use the #BeActive hashtag on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter
- Challenge their friends to #BeActive too
- See if they’re a winner.
Entries can be submitted from 5 July to 23 September.
